TomHinch

Tom is a Professor with the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation at the University of Alberta in Canada. He has written extensively in the area of sport based travel including two co-authored two books on the subject - Sport Tourism Development (2011) and Sport and Tourism: Globalization, Mobility and Identity (2009). He has recently presented at the Canadian 2014 Sport Event Congress and the South African equivalent to this meeting in 2013. Currently, he is working on a project funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council titled Place Making and Sport Tourism Events: The case of the Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache, Alberta.
