Athletics Canada Round Table - Building Road Running in Canada

Road Running in Canada has seen tremendous growth in Canada over the past decade. Through a facilitated discussion, this session will focus on how we can continue to come together as a community and advance the sector collectively, identify key opportunities and threats, and define the role of sport governing bodies and other stakeholders to advance the sport. 

Specifics topics will include but not be limited to:

The session will be facilitated by Paul Jurbala, a Senior Associate with the Canadian Sport for Life Leadership Team, owner of communityactive consulting, Chair of Community Sport Councils Ontario and a PhD candidate in Sport Management focusing on change and decision making in community sport organizations. 

Following this session, Paul will prepare a report for Athletics Canada to be shared with summit participants. The report will identify the priority actions to be taken by Athletics Canada and provincial/territorial associations to support road running in Canada, as well as the programs and services the community would like to see developed to advance the sport.
