One of the most respected journalists and broadcasters in running, Toni Reavis has been informing and entertaining audiences for over thirty years with his signature baritone pipes, encyclopedic knowledge, and sharp wit.
Recognized as a leader in the sport of running, Jon began running competitively in the mid 70's in high school and college. He has since completed over 20 marathons including Berlin, Boston, Chicago and Marine Corps. Since the late 1970's, Jon has pioneered the organization of amateur athletic events, first in his home-base of Central Florida and today throughout the world. Today Jon is the president and co-owner of Track Shack Events and Track Shack, a specialty running retail store.
With three decades of experience in community-based event management, Cory has contributed a unique blend of strategic and execution skills leading to the success of some of the country's most well-known and dynamic events. She has played a pivotal role in such notable events as: Sporting Life 10k, Team Diabetes Canada, Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Goodlife Toronto Marathon, and Canada's premier breast cancer participation event, CIBC Run for the Cure, among others.
Brandon is an elite runner, race director, entrepreneur, and father of twins girls. He spent his undergraduate days at Western University before fleeing to Hawaii Pacific University for graduate school. He spent time coaching both WU and HPU cross country teams and is a level II USATF certified coach. He has won The GoodLife Toronto Marathon and placed second at The Canadian Marathon Championships. Brandon is the Race Director of The Virgin Radio Rock The Road 10K and one of the founders of Race Roster.
Harold Mah has collected varied expertise in special event logistics, community programming, budget construction and staffing through his 25 years of work experience. He currently is the Event Support Manager, Sport Tourism Advisor for the City of Toronto and Chair of the City of Toronto Event Support Team.
With over 30 years of event entertainment experience Chris Uszynski is the Race Director and Founder of RunningFlat. As a former Ultra runner he started producing his own event The World Alzheimer's Day 100K Run. Producing 12 running events last year with over 17,000 participants in a small market (Windsor/Essex) creating new runners and driving them into our industry. RunningFlat was founded on The Run For Heroes Marathon but now owns many brands like The Canada D'Eh Run, Le Chocolat, Pelee Island Winery Half Marathon and The Zombie Chase. Chris's focus has been developing the alchemy of a great running event and driving a high end event experience to attract more runners through tourism or off the couch and into the start chute.
Tom is a Professor with the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation at the University of Alberta in Canada. He has written extensively in the area of sport based travel including two co-authored two books on the subject - Sport Tourism Development (2011) and Sport and Tourism: Globalization, Mobility and Identity (2009). He has recently presented at the Canadian 2014 Sport Event Congress and the South African equivalent to this meeting in 2013. Currently, he is working on a project funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council titled Place Making and Sport Tourism Events: The case of the Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache, Alberta.
